-- I got into Ride after I saw the Upside Down documentary on my computer, and I have to say that Ride has to be one of my favorite bands. I am only 17, and it is crazy to think that Ride wasn't really around when I was getting along-but I am so glad that I discovered them now than never! So much talent in Ride as well-I love the fact that everyone is doing their own thing, as opposed to a shit band who puts out shit music. Your sound is compelling to listen to, and thank you all for making a huge impact on my preferences in music...OX4 forever!

-- Steve and I grew up working in Our Price together and after work drinks consisted of talking about bands we'd liek to create. Lucky for him I didn't persuade him to join "Curry Monday? and the Bongo Three". I remember an afternoon in Steve's tiny bedroom in Headington meeting a lad called Andy, who was OK on guitar....
I was also there at the early Jericho Tavern gigs and thanks to the connection (and Dave Newton) got into lots of the early gigs on the guest list. It always impressed the girl I was with at the time!
They were by far the best band of their time and it was just a shame that the road to psuedo-psychedilia (and eventually Oasis) stole them away from us.
I last saw Steve in Muji on Oxford Street - he always had an eye for a well designed item - and then in TCR tube one night - he was going clubbing and I was going to bed.
Would be good to hook up again Mr Q and maybe go watch Spurs one Saturday.

-- you guys probably wanted to be famous and make megabucks...but it's better for me that your music is my private favorite that nobody else knows about. when people hear all the nowhere songs and the today foever songs, they are blown away. the other songs that are really classics are leave them all behind, chrome waves, time machine (would have been awesome if recorded in the wall od sound nowhere style) and GRASSHOPPER !!!..end of the universe (black sessions) and andy's step into my world... as well as... let go of the dream. that is my best of and I listen all the time.

-- So I was actually born in 1995 which means I didn't get to experience many concerts that I would've liked to experience. Thank god for the internet how else would I have been able to discover such beautiful music. As much as I would've loved to be born at a time where I could've experienced these amazing works of art I was unable to but I have the pleasure of listening to them as I please.
Ride is a great band. There music uplifting, true and honest works of art. Sadly most people do not know of ride and probably will never know of ride. It seems to me nowadays that the worse you are (musical talent wise) the more popular you become. Which to me obviously makes no sense to me but I am grateful of the music I know and love and that I can enjoy.
